Industry leaders convene in Anchorage for education, awards and networking

AGC Winter 2018 Annual Conference

In another year of tight construction windows, tight industry regulations and even tighter state finances, it’s always good to gather with colleagues to learn and have a little fun too.

The annual conference of The Associated General Contractors of Alaska, held in November in Anchorage, was the perfect way to look back on the challenges and successes of 2017 while looking ahead to innovation and collaboration for 2018.

Contractors, students and industry professionals from across the state descended on The Hotel Captain Cook, an amazing venue that continues to accommodate the conference’s growing popularity. Attendees had plenty to choose from at the four-day event with the Marsh & McLennan Agency President’s Welcome, a Subcontractors Breakfast, the ConocoPhillips Excellence in Safety luncheon, the First National Bank Vendor Room reception, the Parker Smith & Feek Excellence in Construction luncheon, the Construction Leadership Council reception, the GCI Energy Breakfast, the AK Constructors and Dirtworks Management Symposium, the American Fast Freight and Spenard Builders Supply Family Fun Night and the always sold-out Dinner Dance.
